Complex Needs

Ranging from mental health, self-harm and drug and alcohol misuse to learning difficulties. Landsker have strong partnership working with local CAMHS services in place.

Challenging Behaviour

We have a very cohesive and established Behaviour Management Strategy that is supported by our unique ICM Level 3 Accreditation in Health, Social Care and Education.

CSE

Track record of working successfully with victims of CSE. Have supported young people through court cases. Therapeutically we use a range of resources and programmes to protect young people from CSE. SAAR risk assessment and fully alarmed properties, carefully located premises in rural locations designed to reduce the vulnerability of young people. Working relationship with Barnardo’s, using SERAF process.

Autism

Autism specialist available to oversee and advise on care planning for young people on the autistic spectrum.

Families

Extensive liaison with families. Care planning includes focus on building resilience and appropriate social networks.

Transition to Independence

Living Skills assessment and care planning aims to equip young people with the skills needed to participate fully in society after leaving care. In some instances, a managed transition via our own supported accommodation is possible. Links with established foster careers is an option. Work experience routine for year 10 and 11 pupils via our school.
